Congratulations to our One-Act actors, actresses, crew, and coaches on their Tuesday (11-14-23) performance for SNC in Milford. The team finished tied for a 7th-place finish and received three Superior ratings. Individual awards went out to Mackenzie Anthony, Lillian Korbel, Sarina Lavilay, and Aubrey Ninneman for Outstanding Actor/Actresses.

Wilber-Clatonia Public Schools Begins Superintendent Search Process

 with McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C.

The Wilber-Clatonia Public Schools Board of Education has selected McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development to assist them in the important task of selecting superintendent candidates for the board to interview.  McPherson & Jacobson (www.macnjake.com) is one of the nation’s leading search firms and is based out of Omaha.  McPherson & Jacobson has over 100 consultants located in 30+ states and has conducted over 750 successful searches since it began in 1991.

At an open board meeting on Thursday, November 9th, the Wilber-Clatonia Board of Education discussed the skills and characteristics they are looking for in the next superintendent.  That discussion led to the list below.

1. An instructional leader that strives for academic excellence in all areas.

2. Experience with school budget and finance who can explain it to all stakeholders while staying focused on long-term sustainability and facility needs through strategic and proactive planning.

3. Approachable and involved community member that is accessible to students, staff, and public while earning trust through transparent communication.

4. A strong, collaborative leader who can support tough decisions while unifying the school community.

Feedback from all patrons is encouraged throughout this important process.  Search consultants will conduct open “Community Input Forums” on December 7^th at 4:30 PM and again at 5:30 PM  in the school auditorium.  Both sessions will be the same so please pick the one that works best for you.

For those unable to attend the “Community Input Forums,” there will be a “Survey Monkey” link accessible on the school website (wilberclatonia.org) from December 8^th-15^th.  It will allow any user to provide their anonymous input on the skills and traits the next superintendent needs to possess as well as highlight the positives of the Wilber-Clatonia communities and school district.  The survey will be available in English and Spanish.  We want your voice to be heard throughout this important process.    

Questions that will be asked at the “Community Input Forum” and through the Survey Monkey will be:

1. Tell us the good things about the communities of Wilber and Clatonia.
2. Tell us the good things about Wilber-Clatonia Public Schools.
3. What are the skills, characteristics, and traits you’re looking for in the next superintendent?
4. What are any topics the new superintendent should be aware of so they can get off to a great start?

Key dates for the superintendent search include:

• Application Deadline of December 19^th
• Finalists selected and announced on January 3^rd
• Interviews to be conducted on January 10^th and 11^th
• New hire to be made official by January 15^th
• New hire to begin work on/about July 1^st
