On Monday, October 23rd, the Wilber-Clatonia FBLA members participated in their event, "Trick or Treat for Cans". One of the state projects that the chapter participates in is the Feed Nebraska challenge. This is a collaborative service event that is designed to feed those in our community in need. All items collected were donated to the Blue Valley Community Action Partnership for Saline County.
Forty-three members split up into six teams and routes across Wilber going door-to-door speaking about their efforts in supporting Feed Nebraska and collecting non-perishable food donations for Saline County. Members made a competition out of it to see which group could collect the most. Members of the winning team were Cooper Bates, Michael Pulliam, Preston Lee, Tad Moldenhauer, Adam Hochtritt, Josh Kalkwarf, Mason Zimmerman, Colten Johnson, Miguel Jaimes and Jonathan Zoubek, bringing in a total of 323 items. This year, overall, there was a remarkable amount of donations collected. A total of 1,227 items were collected. The W-C FBLA chapter wants to thank all those that took the time and effort to donate to this important event to benefit those in need in our community.
